Through funding from the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office Safe Neighborhood Grant, parents, families, children, youth and caregivers are invited to a night out. All events are free and open to all! Parents/adults/grandparents/caregivers should feel free to attend any or all events. Each event starts at 5pm with dinner. Hoosac River Revival October 19 Listening Session Hybrid: via Zoom or in person at City Hall this Thursday, 6-8 p.m. Feasibility Study of Flood Control System Starting in August 2023, and for the next three years, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with a City/HRR team, will conduct a Feasibility Study of the Hoosic River. The study has two primary objectives: 1) design a new flood control system that will reduce the risk of flooding in our city and, 2) wherever possible, bring back a healthy, accessible and beautiful Hoosic River. MTEL Prep Courses On October 28th and 29th the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Education Department will be offering preparation workshops for those considering taking the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL). The workshops are being held in an online, synchronous format. They are comprised of two sessions each day. Session 1: 9am-Noon will cover the test Communication and Literacy, and Session 2: 1pm-4pm will be for Foundations of Reading.      Passing the MTEL is a requirement for teacher licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each class will focus on a specific test and will be taught by instructors knowledgeable in both the content/skill area and the test. The workshops are open to the community.
