Good Afternoon, Brayton Families!
This will be my final message to you as Principal of Brayton. I have enjoyed my time here, both as a teacher and as a Principal. I have come to love your children dearly, and respect all the work you do for them as their caregivers. But, it is time for me to embark on a new adventure. Starting next school year, I will be working as the Principal of Conte Community School in Pittsfield. While I am extremely excited for this new opportunity, a piece of my heart will always belong to my Brayton Bears. I wish you and your families all the best, and hope our paths will cross again in the future!
Sincerely,
Terri Dudziak M.Ed.
Here are the things you need to know as we wrap things up for the year:
All school days this week are early release. Brayton will dismiss at 11:30. Please plan accordingly.
The last day of school is Thursday, June 13.
Report cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school.
The Move Up Ceremony for Grade 6 students will be at 9:30, on Wednesday, June 12. Families of 6th Grade students are welcome to attend. Please let your student’s home base teacher know if you will be joining us.
Next year, there will be a great deal of change in the district. It is extremely important that you try to follow updates on the district website and through the local news, such as iBerkshires to stay informed. The current changes are as follows:
Greylock Elementary School will be closing at the end of this school year. The new Greylock building project is still underway, and the city hopes to secure up to 80% reimbursement from the state for the cost of a new PK-2 school building on the Greylock site, as recommended by the North Adams School Building Committee."
In September, all PK-2 students in the district will be attending classes at Brayton Elementary. Any questions regarding class lists, etc., should be directed to the incoming Principal, Ms. Anne-Mary Riello at ariello@napsk12.org.
In September, all 3-6 students in the district will be attending classes at Colegrove Elementary. Any questions regarding class lists, etc., should be directed to the Principal, Ms. Amy Meehan at ameehan@napsk12.org.
All 7-12 students will continue to attend classes at Drury High School. Any questions regarding class lists, etc., should be directed to the Principal, Ms. Stephany Kopala at skopala@napsk12.org.
