Good Afternoon Brayton Families,

Here we are in the first week of January, and it definitely feels like winter!  Please remind your children to bring in snow pants, hats, gloves, and mittens so they can be toasty warm while they’re playing outside at recess.  We do have extra winter items in our Brayton Closet, but the supply is limited so be aware that we may not always be able to provide replacements.

We still have a significant amount of illness making its way through the building.  Please review the guidelines that were sent out last week regarding when children should stay home and when they should return to school during and after an illness.

Here are some things you need to know as we move deeper into January.

  • Brayton PTG will meet tomorrow, Monday, January 8, at 5:00 in the Brayton Welcome Center.  All are encouraged to attend.  We will be discussing the cash calendar returns as well as planning for spring activities.

  • There is no school on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday.

  • Progress reports for the second trimester will be sent home the week of January 22.  I will send a text alert to families on the day that we send them home.

Please enjoy the remainder of this wintry weekend!

All the best,
