Letter from the Principal
My name is Carrie Wallace and I am very excited to be your new Principal at Brayton Elementary School. I was a first and third grade teacher before becoming a Principal fifteen years ago. I have worked in Hampden and Worcester Counties and I am already enjoying my move to Berkshire County! Over the summer, I had the opportunity to meet some of the community partners we work with including Williams College and Kids 4 Harmony. I also had the opportunity to meet some students and staff at the end of the Summer Science Camp. I can’t wait to meet everyone else and get started with this new school year!
This is an exciting time of year for all of us at Brayton Elementary School! This is the time of year that we finish cleaning the school, getting new supplies for classrooms, hiring new staff members and planning exciting learning events for the upcoming school year. For me this is really fun because I am new to Brayton this year and have been spending the summer getting to know people, finding my way around the school, and putting all of the final touches on plans for the first day of school. Enjoy the rest of the summer break and I will see you on Tuesday, September 4 (PreK on Sept. 11)!
